I have been experimenting with smoothies lately and getting more creative. I want to try other flavors and ingredients so stay tuned for new ones to come.

This beet smoothie is a prime example. I did too use beets for another smoothie not long ago and we really liked it. I think the ginger in that one was what made the smoothie over the top.

This beet smoothie version is good too but I think it resembled a bit more of the beet flavor. It was no a favorite for my kids but they did drank it anyways :-)

For the e-books I have included a few awesome smoothies that I think everyone is sure to like. So far my kids are loving them so I hope you do too.

If you are not fond off or can’t get veggies and fruits in your diet through out the day much you should try to make smoothies. They are super simple to put together, quick and ultra nutritious.

I have seen many places that do sell them but to tell you the truth I find them very expensive and not as good. I also find them super sweet too, which pretty much ruins the smoothie.

Anyhow, let me know how like this beet and berry smoothie if you get to try it.

Enjoy!

This smoothie is really good. If you like you can add more mixed berries. I just added 6 oz. I have just discovered roasted organic beets at my store and I am going to use them much more often. I actually want to use them to make some type or red velvet cake so will see how it goes!

I love, love, love ginger. If I could have it intravenously I would, no joke!!

It is quite surprising that I don’t have more ginger recipes in the blog or that I don’t have a category just for ginger…maybe I will some day.

If you like ginger, look no further, this is your smoothie. I thought not only this smoothie tasted superb but the properties ginger has, made this drink top on my list so for the past days this is what I have been drinking in the mornings.

I was surprised at the beautiful color the beets brought to the smoothie. My kids just wanted to drink it because of the beautiful pink color, so sure, they went for it. A bit much for them, with all the ginger they couldn’t seem to finish it all. They drank half so that was good enough for me.

Anyhow, some important properties about ginger I want to point out are

Antibacterial

Very powerful anti-inflammatory and analgesic.

Antiemetic

Helps dissolve blood clots

Eliminates congestion

You should really consider making this smoothie, with all of the amazing health benefits you will be getting from drinking this and the amazing flavor I don’t think you will be disappointed. A super win smoothie in my book!

Enjoy!!
This smoothie is just simply superb, refreshing, and nutrient dense to say the least. This has become one of my ultimate favorite smoothies.

A perfect way to start the day. Dr Oz morning green smoothie. Healthy, vegan, gluten free and full of vitamins and minerals.

I haven’t posted a smoothie in the blog for a while even though smoothies are really regular at my house.

This would be the perfect morning drink or snack. It is packed with nutrition and it is extremely refreshing.

Because of the holidays, we tend to eat a bit more at gatherings and such, so go ahead and start your day with this smoothie. You are sure to be energized after you drink it and obtain certain vitamins and minerals you won’t be getting by eating all of the holiday cookies :-)

Because I love ginger I actually used a bit more. If you like you can also add a banana if you think it is too bitter for you. Because I added the lemon ginger juice I found in Trader Joe’s, that sufficed for us.

Two more days until Christmas. I can’t believe it. I think time is going by faster as I get older :-( Not good!!

Well I will leave you with this sensational nutritious drink which I hope you venture to try sometime.

Enjoy!

Just place all of the ingredients in the blender and pulse until smooth. This will sure give you some powerful nutrition to start your day.

I kind of despise pumpkin. I am by no means a picky eater and there are very food things in the world that I actually don’t eat or don’t like much, puree pumpkin been one of them!

Because I have a couple of pumpkin cans left from thanksgiving and I really want to free the space in my pantry I decided to use them in smoothies. Even though they were OK next time I will use more banana to kind of get rid off the pumpkin flavor even more :-)

On another note, have you notice the nutrition facts on some of my recipes? I am hard at work trying to add them to all of my recipes….it will take me a while but be patient, it will get done!

As I have said in the past, I am not to fond on getting fixated with calories, as I find much more important to focus on the quality of ingredients and moderation. Also, even though many of my recipes are much healthier than other versions out there some of them are getting bad grades…..Oh well…this is not going to stop me from eating them, I can tell you that much :-)

Like I said before, just use your common sense, don’t eat the entire batch of what ever you are making at once :-)

Anyhow, until my next recipe,

Enjoy!!

Here it is, another amazing smoothie. This one is blueberries and banana pretty much with a little hint of mint coming from fresh mint leaves. A very refreshing smoothie indeed!!

One important note I want to add is that blackberries are important to get organic. If you go to my health and nutrition link I mention that certain foods are more important than others to get organic. Berries are one of them. If you are on a budget try to save some for organic berries, it does make a lot of difference, and I am not talking just about the taste.

As the weather is getting better I am finding myself making more smoothies.
Not long ago I mentioned a pumpkin spice smoothie, well, that one is also coming soon, I haven’t forgotten, so stay tuned.

Enjoy!!

I first blend the mint with a little bit of the soy milk before adding the rest of the ingredients but you can just blend them all at once if you prefer.

Believe it or not but the mint gives the smoothie a really refreshing subtle flavor. You can omit it if you wish but I strongly recommend you use it.

Making smoothies is something that we make very often at my house, at least 3-4 times per week. I find it to be a very easy way to include powerful nutrients in our diet and the kids love them. I even use this method to freeze some and make ice pops. You can’t never go wrong with healthy ice pops :-)

This chocolate, peanut butter and banana smoothie is one of our favorites, and lets not forget the spinach and strawberry I made a while back. That one is also a FAV :-).

I used dark chocolate because it has much more properties, such as antioxidants, but you can use what ever chocolate you have on hand.

I will be posting some other variations very soon. If you are looking to incorporate more fruits and veggies in your diet making smoothies is a very easy and practical way to do it.

Enjoy!!
