Grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my favorite quick comfort foods. They can be extremely versatile, easy and healthy all at the same time. This grilled cheese and spinach sandwich is the bomb try it soon!

This grilled cheese spinach sandwich was extremely simple to prepare. I choose a thick multigrain bread, which I spread some fresh pesto sauce and tabasco, and then placed the provolone cheese and fresh spinach in there!

The trick that I found when making stuffed grilled cheese sandwiches is to place cheese slices in between the greens, which makes it easier for the veggies to be held into place.

For grilled sandwiches you can pretty much use any stuffing of your choice. With grilled cheese sandwiches you can get creative. Using sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese will be my next choice. Stay tuned for that version because it is going to be the bomb.

Do you have any unusual grilled cheese sandwiches you and your family enjoy? I would love to know about it. The more ideas I get the better. You can’t really go wrong with grilled cheese sandwiches. I have seen sweet variations using blueberries and cream cheese…yum.

Well, there is not much to say about this grilled cheese and spinach sandwich. I leave you with this quick variation that I am sure everyone will love. It is simple, tasty and super delicious and go ahead and make your own variations.

Enjoy!

Today I introduce this simple spicy hummus. It is super spicy so if you like spicy food you will like this hummus recipe. If you prefer the hummus to be on the milder side just decrease the amount to half and that will be sufficient.

This recipe is recipe number four of the Tabasco 10 ingredient challenge. It has certainly been a challenge but a good challenge nonetheless. Here is a list of the other bloggers involved in this challenge.

This recipe is super easy to put together. You will be done in less than 10 minutes, I promise. It also has hardly any ingredients, 4 to be exact, so it is fuss free and extremely uncomplicated.

At my house, we consume large amounts of hummus. There is nothing better than making your own, especially for several reasons:

It is way more economical than buying it at grocery stores.

It is way healthier, since you are just using real ingredients without having to add any preservatives or other weird ingredients.

You can make endless variations.

Making hummus is a win win situation. You just need a good food processor and you are in your way of making great hummus.

I hope you like this variation. Simple for the purpose of the Tabasco challenge, but rather exquisite!

Enjoy!

If you like the hummus to not be very spicy I suggest cutting the Tabasco in half. This version was super super spice :-)

This no-fuss black beans, chicken and rice is one of the most convenient meal recipes of all times. Super easy, simple and extremely nutritious.

Here is recipe number two from the Tabasco 10 ingredient challenge.

This one was another easy recipe with few ingredients that it is perfect for any weeknight dinner. This recipe is full of protein and fiber, two healthy nutrition components of a well balance diet.

The preparation time is almost none existent. Besides chopping the chicken and the onion there is not much to do so if you are looking for a well balance nutritional meal that requires hardly any preparation look no further.

Again, for this recipe, I kept the amount of Tabasco to the medium side. My kids do enjoy the occasional spicy food, not too spicy, just a tad spicy, so feel free to add a bit more. My husband did and so did I so when preparing the recipe, you can double the amount of Tabasco for some extra heat.

This dinner also freezes really well. I actually do try to make a bit more quantity at each dinner so that I don’t have to cook each night. I just make sure that I take my leftover frozen dinners the morning off and I am good to go at night.

Tomorrow I will be posting recipe number three of the 10 ingredient Tabasco challenge. Another winner recipe especially on my husbands book so I hope you stay tuned for that one too.

Enjoy!

After that you can add the remainder of the ingredients and cook until the rice is tender. It will take approximately 25 minutes.

Here can see how liquid like it looks but after about 25 minutes the water will be absorbed and the rice will become tender. If you feel like the water has been absorbed and the rice is still hard you can add more water and let the rice cook an extra few minutes.

I have partnered with Tabasco for today’s post as well as for the next four recipes coming ahead. I have become part of their 10 Tabasco ingredient challenge along with other food bloggers to bring yummy recipes using just 10 ingredients. Check out their recipes.

To say this task has been a challenge is an understatement. It was fun, but a challenge for sure. If asked again, would I do this challenge all over again? You bet. I like to develop recipes, that is what I mainly do with my food blog, and when there is a restriction or limitation of some sort associated with developing a recipe, it makes it even more exciting. So yes I would do this challenge all over again.

I was really pleased, happy and excited that I was asked to participate in this 10 Tabasco ingredient challenge. I actually think my husband was most excited because he uses Tabasco like it is water. I am serious, he loves anything spicy…the spicier the better!

When I told him I had to come up with 5 recipes using Tabasco, he was just over the moon.

Anyhow, these Spicy chicken burgers where out of this world. I decided to post this recipe first because I was really pleasantly surprised at how moist, tasty and easy they were to make. I actually wished I had doubled the batch and froze some because they were really good. If you get to make them I suggest that you double the batch, you won’t regret it.

I kept the amount of Tabasco on the medium side making the Spicy chicken burgers slightly spicy, however you can go ahead and use more for the extra heat. My husband of course pour even more Tabasco on his burger but the kids just enjoyed them as is.

I leave you with this amazing tasty and easy Spicy chicken burgers. I hope you get to make them, if you do, let me know how you like them.

Enjoy!

These are the ingredients that were part of the Tabasco 10 ingredient food challenge. Hard right?

Add the chicken, Parmesan, and Tabasco to your food processor. Pulse for 1 minute or until the chicken is minced, like in the picture. Once the chicken is minced, add the onion and pulse for another 10 seconds or until the onion becomes chopped.

These burgers were sensational. They were moist, juicy, tasty and most of all, super easy to put together. Your family and friends will love them, so I hope you give them a go!
