The only thing I changed was to use brown rice syrup rather than honey since we’re vegan. I’d suggest against readers using maple syrup since it’s far less sticky than honey or brown rice syrup and the treats won’t hold together as well (in previous experience). I love that I didn’t have to go searching for an expensive bag of vegan marshmallows and could use just a few on-hand ingredients to make a delicious treat.

Was just talking about how my kids have never tried this because of the HFCS. Just an FYI, always check your labels at Trader Joes. I went to buy orange juice and happened to glance at the ingredients. It contained HFCS! I let a salesperson know, but I don’t know if it has changed.
