In reply to Ann. Mine were really moist and sticky so I didn't but if yours are dried then I would, or just add some extra water to the mix. Like 1-2 tbsp of it :-)

Oh my goodness these look so delicious! I am looking forward to making these asap because we just recently bought a big package of dates and I just made homemade almond butter. What great timing to find this recipe!
