Lemon ice

How many times have you purchased ice or granita for you or your kids? This lemon ice has potentially only two ingredients and it is very easy.

I think this is the first time I made granita or ice for that matter. I really don’t know why I waited so long to make this lemon ice because it literally took me 2 minutes to make. I actually made two different flavors.

I used this italian lemon soda that is actually healthier than regular versions but you really can make it with whatever type of soda you like. Just try to use any type that won’t contain crapy ingredients!

I used a tiny bit of turmeric powder to color the lemon ice since using lemon soda is colorless. It worked perfectly. I also added a couple of drops of liquid stevia since diluting the soda with the ice made the lemon ice not sweet at all. A little goes a long way but if you like you can omitted, no big deal.

This is a very simple recipe that your kids will love. It takes no time, it is way healthier than store bought versions and it will be a super success amongst most kids. Who loves the loaded sugar store bought kinds anyways? Not us!

Well I leave you with this very simple recipe that I hope you like. Use any other flavors of your choice because it really works with any type!

Enjoy!
